THE CONTEXT
Protect Immigrants Fund (PIF) is a partnership with a grassroots collective supporting immigrants on the front line who have been affected by ICE raids. Many brown communities were impacted in every facet of their livelihood from their ability to work and in consequence, their ability pay for rent and other basic needs. PIF is a community response to support immigrants and help them survive.

We designed a candle label and two resource cards crafted by an immigrant-run business to sell and raise funds for Solo El Pueblo Salva El Pueblo. Our resource cards are bilingual and feature important phone numbers to call that can offer legal support, food insecurity support, and general resources that help immigrants or those supporting immigrants know their rights.

Our team drew inspiration from the monarch butterfly, which represents the journey immigrants have made, and fire to represent resilience.

THE RESULTS
We sold 77 candles, and the proceeds went toward helping a woman get out of an ICE detention facility so she could be reunited with her three kids. You can continue to support Solo el Pueblo by purchasing a candle at our shop here.
